George Rangel

George has been involved in music for "as long as I can remember. I have to play music"

 

Through the years he has been involved in many areas of the music industry as a producer,

arranger, recording engineer and event promoter. But what he loves most is writing and recording music and performing it live.


George is a founding member, guitar player and singer with E. Legal Records recording artists, "Aspen". Besides sharing the stage with Aspen, George also records and performs individually, plays guitar and sings in the band NogginBlast with Bruce Baum and has shared the stage with some great talent, including: Bruce Baum, Drew Carey, Herman's Hermits, Ratt, Tim Allen, Van Halen, Venice, and many other notable musicians and comedians.

 

George writes songs in different styles and genres for various situations including the soundtrack for a Sean Michael Connor film called Polite Coffee. An instrumental version of the Rangel song "Blue Skies" was selected and included in a "Shout Productions" film called, "Fired", starring comedian Tim Allen.

 

Some personal facts:

Grew up in Redondo Beach, California, a beach suburb of Los Angeles.

Picked up first guitar at the age of twelve and as he says "I'm still learning to play it".

Wrote the first song at the age of twelve ( it was a rip off of a Kinks song - "Hey I Tried"!)

Started playing professionally at about eighteen.

Currently lives in Thousand Oaks, California, USA  - a suburb North of Los Angeles.
